Job description
As the Engineer Marine Piping Systems (interim), you will play a key part in the design and engineering of advanced piping systems for high-end naval vessels. You will be responsible for analysing specifications, setting up and modelling engineering packages, and ensuring the integration of piping systems meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting the successful completion of complex maritime projects., In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Analyse and Assess Specifications: Review and evaluate technical requirements for piping systems, ensuring integration aligns with project needs, regulatory standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Engineering Package Development: Set up and model basic engineering packages for piping systems in a 3D environment, adhering to Damen Naval engineering standards and regulations.
- Detailed Engineering and Production Support: Develop detailed engineering packages and production information based on the basic design, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Update engineering packages as needed, providing technical advice and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Multi-Disciplinary Interaction: Engage with various disciplines to ensure that piping solutions are optimized for the overall project.
- Project Design Reviews: Identify potential issues, suggest improvements, and contribute to design reviews to ensure project success.
- Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Ensure all designs meet applicable requirements and contribute to the ongoing development and retention of knowledge within the department.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Relevant technical Bachelor or Master degree combined with at three years relevant experience in piping systems engineering, ideally gained within shipbuilding or offshore installations.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, with hands-on experience in modelling and designing complex piping systems.
- Experience in working on high-end vessels, managing complex projects, and ensuring compliance with statutory bodies and regulations.
- Good command of the English language both written and verbal.
- Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
