Job description

As a Scrum Master, you will play an essential role in guiding and coaching our teams through the complexities of project deliveries using Agile methodologies, predominately Scrum. The ideal candidate will be a beacon of best practices and a pillar of support, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and collaboration among cross-functional teams.

This job has a broad remit encompassing - but not limited to - the work areas below:

  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies
  • Organize and lead Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective meetings.
  • Ensure that all team members understand the objectives of these rituals and actively engage in these ceremonies.
  • Backlog and Process Management
  • Work with the Product Owner to ensure a well-maintained Product Backlog.
  • Help facilitate backlog refinement sessions to clarify requirements and estimation.
  • Impediment Removal
  • Identify obstacles that the team faces and provide solutions or support to eliminate them.
  • Act as the first point of contact for external impediments affecting the team's progress.
  • Coaching and Mentoring
  • Offer ongoing guidance to the team in Agile practices and principles.
  • Encourage team self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Team Dynamics and Performance
  • Foster a collaborative team environment conducive to open discussion and healthy conflicts.
  • Help the team to continuously improve their performance by facilitating effective retrospectives and tracking progress through appropriate metrics.
  • Communication and Reporting
  • Facilitate communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Provide progress reports to business stakeholders and management, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Agile Advocacy
  • Advocate for the adoption of Agile best practices within the organization.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, both within the team and wider company.
  • Ensuring Team Protection
  • Protect the team from interruptions and distractions to keep the focus on prioritized work.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Team management?, The successful candidate for this job will be enthusiastic about the responsibilities above, and will have a skillset which complements the job well, including:

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Openness and flexibility
  • Positive mindset
  • Interest in problem solving and working with people.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian application is preferred but not required., * Experience as a Scrum Master is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in managing team preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with software development and a good understanding of other Agile frameworks., The company working language is English. All employees should speak, read and write English to a sufficient level in order to communicate and operate effectively in the organization.
