Job description

You will be part of a small, dedicated CloudOps team collaborating closely with our DevOps and Service Delivery teams. Together, you'll ensure the reliability and scalability of our cloud infrastructure using modern technologies and industry standards such as Terraform, Ansible, Keycloak/OpenID Connect, Grafana, and the Elastic Stack.

What you will do:

  • Deploy and maintain services across AWS and Kubernetes-based cloud environments.
  • Manage and optimize our Elastic Stack infrastructure for monitoring and observability.
  • Automate and continuously improve CloudOps workflows to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Join our 24x7 on-call rotation (one weekly shift in a five-person team) once you're fully up to speed.
  • Collaborate with the server development team to improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our services.
  • Work closely with the security team (CISO and pentester) to maintain a robust and secure infrastructure.
  • Work at least two days a week from our Enschede headquarters.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Security, or a related field at the MSc or BSc level.

  • Experience working in cloud or infrastructure engineering; a few years of experience is preferred, though motivated graduates are also welcome to apply.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken; Dutch is a plus but not required.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (required).
  • Proven experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or OpenStack.
  • Familiarity with automation and continuous integration practices and tools.
  • A strong security mindset, considering technology, processes, and organisational measures.
  • Experience with machine learning tools such as MLflow is an advantage.
  • Experience with the Elastic Stack (ELK) is an advantage.
