About this role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Data Engineer to join our Partner and Sales Analytics team, a team of analysts and data engineers. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing scalable solutions for the efficient use of big data within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) projects. Together with the team, you will be responsible for building and optimizing robust data pipelines and further scale the measurement datasets to turn them into actionable insights.
Reporting to: Manager - Core Sales Analytics
Location: Amsterdam
Hybrid role: 3 days a week from our Amsterdam office & 2 days working from home
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on GCP for partner and sales data.
- Design and implement dimensional data models (including star and snowflake schemas) to organize and optimize data for analysis and reporting in the data warehouse.
- Leverage Advanced SQL and Python to transform, optimize, and analyze large datasets.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, leveraging Airflow for workflow orchestration and DBT for data transformation and modeling.
- Design, develop, and maintain semantic layer for the partner domain.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and system performance across the stack.
- Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance throughout the data lifecycle.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Amazon Web Services (AWS), enabling the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions using modern cloud-native tools and services.
- Exposure to data engineering or similar responsibilities.
- Good knowledge of SQL and data modelling.
- Programming skills in Python, with experience in building and automating data workflows with tools such as Airflow and DBT etc.
- Comfortable using Git and following CI/CD principles.
- A natural collaborator with excellent communication skills who builds bridges.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to data reliability.
