Job description
You'll build the engine behind our Workforce Management platform, used daily by over 200,000 people across industries and regions. Together with Frontend, Product, and Infrastructure, you'll turn evolving business needs into backend systems that simply work - fast, stable, and reliable, even under pressure. Reliability doesn't just happen. We design for it. Like us, you care about clean data, resilient systems, and performance that never cracks. Not because anyone will see your code, but because they'll feel it when it fails, and at Dyflexis, that's not an option. We work in six-week build cycles, followed by two weeks to wrap up, improve, and prepare for what's next. Our tech leads code alongside you, so decisions stay grounded in real engineering. That means less red tape, more ownership, and a real say in how we scale. Your day will mix building and refining backend features that handle enterprise traffic, optimizing performance, partnering with DevOps on deployments and incident response, and mentoring engineers who are growing fast. Your core responsibilities are:
- Design features that handle enterprise traffic across regions
- Optimize critical paths for performance and reliability
- Follow patterns for code quality, testing, and readiness
- Partner with DevOps on deployments and monitoring
- Champion operational excellence in engineering decisions
Our current tech stack includes Core: PHP (Symfony), MySQL, Redis, Docker Infrastructure: Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, You'll earn up to €7,000 per month, work hybrid (2 days/week at our HQ), and join a bootstrapped company that's profitable and reinvesting aggressively in its products and people. No VC pressure, no corporate bloat, no endless approval chains. You'll work on systems serving renowned brands, leveraging a modern stack in a post-scrum environment that values focus. And you'll do it in a culture where we win together, have each other's backs when it counts, and celebrate success as a team. We also offer:
- Modern stack: PHP (Symfony), Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, CI/CD
- Enterprise clients: every line of code affects real business operations
- Personal development budget
- 25 vacation days + your birthday off
- In-house chef, ARJ Boxing gym membership, solid pension plan
- 8% vacation pay, option to buy/sell vacation days
Requirements
Do you have experience in Redis?, You have 5-7 years of experience building backend systems that thrived in production traffic. You know PHP intimately (modern practices, not the stuff that makes people wince) and understand the practical trade-offs between consistency, availability, and partition tolerance. You've optimized databases that were keeling over, debugged race conditions that only appeared under load, and made architectural decisions that didn't require a complete rewrite six months later. You think in systems, not tickets. When someone proposes a feature, you're already mapping failure modes and estimating the cost and maintenance effort. You care about reliability and performance and you're comfortable with ownership. You ship it, you own it, and you sleep soundly.
