Job description

We are building a modern data ecosystem that enables reliable, data-driven decision making across every function in the company. To accelerate this journey, we are looking for a Data Engineer / Architect who enjoys developing high-quality data products and strengthening the foundations of our data platform. In this role, you will play a central part in designing and optimizing the data pipelines and models that power decisions across Marketing, Procurement, Finance, Customer Service, and Risk. Your work will directly help the organization understand customer behavior, optimize campaigns, improve financial accuracy, and increase overall operational efficiency. A selection of your daily activities

Build, maintain and optimise ETL pipelines in our Databricks Lakehouse

Develop high quality Data Vault models that serve as the backbone for trusted data products

Implement monitoring, alerting and data quality checks using Unity Catalog, Great Expectations and CI/CD workflows

Contribute to the governance foundations by helping define schemas, ownership and data contracts

Work closely with the development team to improve data quality at the source and extend the events or data captured in our core systems

Integrate data from suppliers, PSPs, commercial platforms and internal systems into reliable domain models

Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to translate data needs into robust engineering solutions

Support architectural decisions that strengthen our platform and keep complexity manageable in a fast growing scale up environment

Contribute to a data culture where quality, trust and reusability are the standard

Requirements

Do you have experience in Unity?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Bachelor or Master degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science or a related field

At least three years of relevant experience in data engineering

Strong Python and SQL skills within a data engineering context

Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake and modern data engineering patterns

Experience with or strong interest in Data Vault modelling

Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and version controlled development

Experience with Power BI and building well structured semantic layers

Ability to work with both technical and non technical stakeholders

Strong communication skills and a structured way of working

Nice to have

Experience with AWS components such as S3, Lambda, or Kinesis Firehose

Experience with data quality frameworks such as Great Expectations

Affinity with e-commerce, digital fraud, payment processing or large scale transactional data

Experience with data contracts or schema governance
