Contribute to Europe's satellite navigation program Are you analytical, precise, and persistent? This is your opportunity to contribute to the Galileo satellite navigation program, developed by the European Union in collaboration with ESA. As part of the testing team, you will be testing and verifying a mission-critical system at the heart of the Galileo infrastructure.

Your role in our team As a Test Engineer / System Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working on the integration and verification of a secure operational system in a complex space environment.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Performing integration and verification tests
  • Producing and maintaining test procedures, traceability, and test documentation
  • Investigating findings and archiving test evidence
  • Managing and maintaining the test bench (tools and systems under test), including execution at ESTEC Noordwijk.

Requirements

You are independent, eager to learn, and thrive in environments where accuracy and structure are key. You're comfortable with manual testing and you can adapt quickly to technical systems and procedures. You do not mind working on location; in our office or at the client in Noordwijk. You are also:

  • Interested in systems/the larger picture
  • Comfortable with frequent troubleshooting
  • Not afraid to work with newly developed or custom components
  • Flexible and resilient
  • Skilled at dealing with vague requirements or changing priorities
  • Aware that remote work is very limited in this role

Requirements

Please note that holding an EU passport is mandatory for obtaining an EU Personal Security Clearance, which is part of our selection process.

  • Bachelor's degree (HBO or WO) in a relevant field
  • Experience with manual testing
  • Experience in system engineering or technical testing
  • Strong ability to learn and work with custom test tools
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, perseverance, and a results-oriented approach
  • Flexible and proactive attitude
  • Comfortable in English, both spoken and written

You will be our ideal candidate if you are also:

  • Interest or experience in the space sector or security systems
  • Familiarity with server rooms or networking environments
  • Familiar with IBM's DOORS or similar requirement tools
  • Basic scripting or programming familiarity
  • Experience with Galileo systems is a plus
