This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting, cross functional team delivering innovative data products for the Child Maintenance Service (CMS) via SAS technologies, a new strategic Big Data technology stack (Cloudera, Informatica and Qlik Sense) and machine learning technologies. • Undertake data analysis, data profiling, or problem resolution.

  • Lead the response to technical problems in databases, data processes, data products and services as they occur and coordinate these across the team ensuring reactive and robust solutions and escalations.

  • Ensure issues and risks raised are resolved in an appropriate manner.

In the Big Data environment, you will:

  • Receive appropriate training in the new technology stack.

  • Own the design and development of new ETL code, delivering all aspects of the code set development to meet customer needs to agreed timescales, ensuring solutions are robust and scalable.

  • Implement, maintain, and ensure adherence to coding standards.

  • Communicate effectively across both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Work with testers and designers to identify defects and resolutions.

  • Support Data Managers responsible for live running of data products and services.

  • Support Business Analysts in completing impact assessments on core system functional changes, impacting where the functional change could impact current data architecture and new data requirements.
