Product Owner

You will be working as Product Owner and will be part of Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area for BA Function Technology Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for leading product development engineering team of 15 to 20 engineers. Collaborating with Product and Solution Management and System Architect/Engineering to decompose the epic into features and capabilities and help prioritize these backlog items in their respective program and solution backlogs., * Improving and maintaining application software product portfolio. Supporting in strategic initiatives to enhance product portfolio

• Co-ordinating, synchronizing and drive epic related activities with R&D, product, sales, marketing and similar functions. Coordinating with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define an epic using the 'epic hypothesis statement'
• Working closely with Product Managers and Backlog Owners to ensure Epics are driven through Program Increments
• Supporting BO's to refine and maintain healthy Product backlog. Supporting the roll-out of releases to supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, operations and ensuring smooth handover to the line organization
• Understanding and reporting on progress to key stakeholders. Managing cost, schedule and performance objectives
• Collaborating with Architects, Product Manager and Backlog owner to value add to portfolio like Technology PoCs, new product proposals and enhancement proposals
• Influencing the team to adopt modern software engineering approaches like DevOps CI-CD pipelines, Standard designs/ Open source, Containerization and script less test automation
• Instilling Product Culture (without servitude) that drives behaviors actions pro-actively without waiting for instructions. Owning quality of released products and pro-actively improve the customer experience

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering
• Minimum 18 to 20 years of experience in industrial digital product development or discrete manufacturing / automation digital solutions
• Execution capability to deliver releases on-time to market and own lifecycle of products
• Good experience in developing the business case, work directly with the key stakeholders on the selected Agile Release Train for features implementation
• Experience in writing product road maps and evangelizing the same with customers (both internal and external)
• Influence Agile transformation of SaFE teams through empowerment and engagement with focus on achieving business goals
• Good understanding of software development in various architectures (middleware, web, cloud, etc.)
