Job description
As an Information Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and embedding information management plans, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 19650 standards.
Working closely with the Client, Document Control, Quality, and Engineering teams, you will oversee CDE implementation, data capture, and reporting, while supporting the adoption of digital tools such as Power BI to enable smarter, data-driven decision making.
You will also help drive a consistent information management approach across the Energy business, ensuring collaboration, compliance, and efficient project delivery., * Lead and advise on ISO 19650 rollout and compliance across projects
- Develop and implement Information Management plans, processes, and procedures
- Work with Document Control and Engineering teams to improve workflows and handover strategies
- Manage and support document control teams, setting objectives and providing training where required
- Develop Power BI dashboards and data capture tools to improve data quality and reporting
- Monitor actions and progress through data-driven weekly and monthly reports
- Support the integration of digital processes and ensure consistency across the Energy sector
- Provide software training to project teams and document controllers
- Travel to project sites, including Shetland (approx. twice per month)
Requirements
We're looking for an Information Manager with strong knowledge of BIM, CDE systems, and data-led reporting in a major project environment.
You will bring:
- Proficiency in ISO 19650 standards and UK BIM Framework requirements
- Experience in a BIM advisory or information management role on large-scale projects
- Knowledge of document control processes and ability to lead and support document control teams
- Experience in Common Data Environments (e.g. Viewpoint for Projects, ProjectWise, SharePoint)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Power BI dashboard development
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and commitment to standardisation
- ISO 19650 accreditation (desirable)
- Willingness to travel within the UK as required
