Job description
A rapidly growing financial technology business is undertaking a complete modernisation of its digital ecosystem and is looking for an experienced .NET engineer to play a key role in that journey. You'll help design and deliver high-performing software that underpins critical financial services, shaping both the technical direction and engineering culture.
This position offers a mix of greenfield product development and modernisation of core systems, with the freedom to influence architecture, development practices and technical standards.
What you'll do
- Develop and enhance enterprise-level software using C# and .NET Core
- Design microservices and APIs that support scalable, cloud-first platforms
- Work collaboratively with product, DevOps and QA to deliver production-ready features
- Apply modern design patterns, testing frameworks and CI/CD principles
- Participate in architectural discussions and mentor team members
- Contribute to the organisation's wider technology roadmap and delivery improvements
Requirements
- Strong background in backend engineering using .NET Core and C#
- Proven experience building robust systems in financial or other regulated environments
- Solid grasp of cloud technologies (preferably Azure) and containerised deployments
- Strong database design knowledge, ideally with SQL and exposure to NoSQL options
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps tooling
- Excellent communicator who can engage confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders

- £65,000-£70,000 depending on experience
