Job description

Location: Cambridge (CB24) Job Type: Permanent Hours: 8.30am - 5pm or 9am - 5:30pm, 37.5 hours a week Salary: Circa 30,000 + benefits including discretionary bonus, healthcare and 8% non-contributory pension Job Reference: 35838 We are seeking a hands-on technician to support the verification of complex electromechanical systems. This role involves executing formal and exploratory test protocols, documenting results and ensuring the reliability and calibration of test equipment. You will need to have experience testing physical/mechanical products rather than purely software. Responsibilities - Execute structured test protocols based on system and sub-system requirements. - Use a variety of tools including power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, force gauges and hand tools. - Document test results in formal reports following good documentation practices. - Identify and report deviations or issues during testing. - Maintain and calibrate test equipment as needed. - Support

Requirements

exploratory testing for new features and system enhancements. - Collaborate with team members to improve testing processes and efficiency. - Track and report progress to task leads and project teams. Requirements - Experience in manual testing of complex systems, ideally in a regulated environment. - Familiarity with executing tests using software-driven scripts. - Proficiency with electronic and measurement tools (e.g., bench power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes). - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping. - Experience managing and maintaining test equipment. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). - Ideally, experience with issue tracking tools and Agile methodologies. - Understanding of lab health and safety and good lab practices. - Experience with motion tracking systems or industrial robotics is a plus. - A proactive attitude and willingness to learn. - Technical qualification (e.g., HNC/ONC or equivalent).
