Job description

We're looking for a Production Programmer to join our client's Production Engineering team. You'll play a key role in programming pressed and lasered parts, ensuring smooth, efficient manufacturing processes. Working closely with the Production Engineering Manager, you'll help drive accuracy, productivity, and continuous improvement on the shop floor., Create and manage CAD/CAM programs for pressed and laser-cut parts (conversion of STP to DXF files). Conduct remote programming for press brake and laser cutting machines. Upload and manage accurate data within the MRP system. Support process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to Design for Manufacture, ensuring parts meet production and quality requirements. Identify and assist in the procurement of tools, jigs, and fixtures to enhance performance. Help prepare documentation for capital expenditure projects.About You Essential

Requirements

Strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred). Experience operating a press brake. Computer literate with solid communication and teamwork skills. Understanding of manufacturing processes and problem-solving ability. Background in metal fabrication or parts manufacturing.Desirable:

Engineering/manufacturing qualifications (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, etc). Experience with CADMAN-B and Progress Plus MRP software. Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality management systems.Why Join Us?
