Job description

We're looking for an Android Developer to join forces with our existing team that released the first version of our app. With great reviews and feedback you will be delivering on an ambitious roadmap of features and getting the opportunity to be part of that evolution.

Requirements

You'll be working with a world-class team of engineers who are passionate about what they do. You should have an insatiable hunger for learning new things and improving existing ones. If you're the right one for us you have an amazing eye for detail and take great pride in your work.

Passionate about and love nerding out over programming languages, research and mobile? Follow technology developments and know what is used for what? Have the uncanny ability to soak up information like a sponge? If technology is more than just a job and you want somewhere that you get to apply your problem-solving mind, see your contribution take effect, flex your technical muscles on a daily basis and have a voice that will be heard, then read on and get in touch...

  • Ideally 2+ years of professional mobile software development experience, Java or C++ preferred;

  • Solid understanding of the intricacies of the Android platform;

  • Proficient in Java and related frameworks;

  • Great eye for detail and appreciation of pixel perfect UI;

  • Multi-Threading and memory management specific to mobile devices;

  • Knowledge about REST principles;

  • Understanding of caching / syncing mechanisms, SQLite and ORM;

  • Familiar with VCS, Maven and Continuous Integration;

  • Perfect written and spoken English;

  • UK resident / EU working visa.

  • Familiar with Android Studio and Gradle;

  • Understanding and utilization of Java / Android testing frameworks for unit and instrumentation tests.
