Job description
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Computing & IT Lecturer to join a Further Education college in Rhondda Cynon Taf. This role offers an excellent opportunity to teach and inspire learners aged 16+ in computing, IT systems, software, and digital skills, preparing them for further education or employment.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging lessons in Computing, IT, Digital Literacy, and related subjects
- Plan, prepare, and assess coursework, projects, and practical activities in line with qualification requirements
- Support learners in developing technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and digital competence
- Monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and employability outcomes
Requirements
Do you have experience in Teaching?, * A degree or vocational qualification in Computing, IT, or a related field
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTLS, or equivalent)
- Experience teaching in FE, post-16, or secondary education settings
- Strong technical knowledge and practical IT skills
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and organisational abilities
- A commitment to inclusive teaching and supporting learners to achieve their full potential
