Are you good with data and looking to use those skills to benefit public services? We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our DDaT function at Bury Council. This is a brand-new role and you will need to have skills in modern data practices such as SQL and Power BI as well as an attitude to learn. Reporting into the Data Architecture and Senior Security Officer you will work with the Data Engineer to analyse data that will be used to make better decisions for the Council, spotting trends and working to solve bigger challenges. The role will involve interpreting and understanding patterns that can be fed through the data pillar to rest of the DDaT function and help in delivering the upcoming digital strategy. As a result of a full department restructure, we have several new posts and you will be joining an ambitious team. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who work well with their teammates and wider organisation to provide the best possible service for Bury Council. You will be able to innovate and work through challenges with a positive attitude as we venture into new ways of working and delivering digital services. The role is hybrid based at Bury Town Hall in supporting agile working. The position will require regular visits to our offices and in some instance up to 3 times a week. Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
