Requirements
Do you have experience in Visual Studio?, We are looking for dynamic and innovative data and technology individuals to join our technology team. Your knowledge and experience have ideally developed through working with NHS hospital data; or you have a keen interest in working with hospital administrative data and improving data quality and waiting list sizes for our NHS.
You possess strong data skills covering information analysis, database development, data modelling, data manipulation & transformation, data reporting, data diagnostics & testing. Exposure to
Hospital Elective Care data is highly desirable but should not deter other highly motivated data candidates from applying.
The individual will be an integral part of our technology services model covering systems and data development, deployment, implementation, and service support.
This role is mostly remote (home-based) with a possibility of some ad hoc visits to Head office. Our team is dynamic, responsive, and exciting to work with. We are faced with day-to-day challenges and always strive to improve, innovate and deliver smarter solutions the MBI way.
Key Experience
· Minimum of 1 year SQL development & data technology experience.
· Demonstrable understanding of data specifications, development, and maintenance of extract, transform and load (ETL) routines and pipelines.
· Hands-on experience with database development, testing and maintenance using SQL Server 2016+
Essential Skills
· SQL Server Management Studio and associated tools.
· T-SQL scripting including dynamic SQL.
· Knowledge of SQL Server objects, components.
· Data analysis, visualisation and reporting capabilities using T-SQL and Excel or similar tooling.
· Good and clear documentation skills of all development, testing and maintenance activities.
Desirable Skills & Experience
· Exposure working with NHS Hospital Elective Care Data (not just SUS or HES), pathway management processes and related data, including RTT, Non-RTT, IPWL, OPWL, Diagnostics, Cancer and more.
· Visual Studio and SSDT / Azure Data Studio.
· SSIS / ADF Pipelines and development.
· SSAS, OLAP Cubes, Power Bl, DAX - development, configuration & optimisation.
· Experience with reading and writing Crow's Foot Notation data models.
· Source control with VSTS and/or Git.
· DBA skills such as SQL Performance Analysis, Partitioning and Index Management.
· SQL testing frameworks e.g. tSQLt
· Other relevant programming technologies like C#, Python, Pandas, Markdown.
· Information or data-related 3rd level qualifications or online course certifications and/or experience working within an ISO certified organisation.
