Join our dynamic team and make your mark on the payments technology landscape of tomorrow., Based in the UK, the Solution Engineer works directly with our sales team to support new name and existing client sales engagements, from early-stage meetings through to handover to our implementations team. The role will include the following activities: providing day to day and strategic support to Sales on phases of the sales cycle including prospect research, preliminary call activities, Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP), presentations, prospect visit management, and prospect meetings. The role serves as a liaison to develop combined sales strategy with other departments and/or companies and other partners (vendors) involved in the sales process for individual prospects. Manages all sales documentation and deliverables, ensuring accuracy and availability. Provides updates/reports of prospects to Senior Management.
Requirements
Good communication skills, * Extensive experience in the payments industry - 5 years plus ideally, with a significant portion of this in issuer processing.
- Experience working with the TSYS TS2 platform and ecosystem an advantage.
- Articulate and a good standard of English too - writing skills are important.
- Good understanding of latest trends in IT - cloud computing, big data, APIs etc.
- Experience presenting to mid-level / senior audiences.
- Strong writing skills, able to clearly and concisely convey TSYS value propositions in proposals and presentations.
- Advanced ability to be an effective problem solver and act quickly to resolve issues.
- Effective listener and communicator who is able to be a reliable strategic partner to the sales team.
- Team player, helping out on opportunities across regions depending on work stack, and proactively supporting and coaching more junior members of the team.
- Effective relationship building, to grow both internal network at TSYS in order to create accurate, up to date sales collateral; and external network to gain industry / prospect insights.
- Strong analytical skills, able to identify prospect needs and develop a tailored value proposition and solution with clearly identified benefits to differentiate TSYS against our competition.
- Technical experience an advantage - knowledge of solution architecture, integration patterns and different SDLCs.
- Willingness to travel, to meet prospects and internal TSYS teams, growing your internal and external networks.
