Job description
We are actively recruiting a Training and Support Specialist to join a critical aviation and defence organisation based in Bournemouth, Christchurch. This is a vital position focused on the delivery of high quality training and expert user support for a key Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system utilised across the engineering, logistics, procurement, and finance functions.
The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the use of a mission critical MRO/ERP tool within a demanding, safety regulated environment.
The Role and Responsibilities This is a hands on role acting as the subject matter expert for the core business system. You will be responsible for ensuring high adoption rates and user proficiency across the organisation. Key duties include:
Designing, developing, and delivering a comprehensive ERP training programme across various user groups.
Providing in person training at the Bournemouth headquarters and other UK/international sites as required.
Acting as a key point of contact for expert user support and system troubleshooting.
Collaborating with change leads to ensure training aligns with evolving business processes and compliance requirements.
Maintaining training standards and driving continuous improvement in training effectiveness.
Representing the organisation in monthly technical meetings with the external software vendor.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in both technical training and ERP system usage within a heavy regulated sector.
Proven experience in technical training delivery with a recognised Train the Trainer qualification.
Strong functional understanding of ERP or MRO systems used in engineering, logistics, or asset management.
Practical knowledge of engineering practices and operational workflows.
Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
A clear ability to deliver complex technical topics in an accessible and engaging manner.
Willingness to undertake travel to other national or international sites.
Desirable Attributes Previous experience with Aerotrac or a similar aviation-specific MRO software tool.
Familiarity with UK CAA and EASA aviation regulatory frameworks.
