Job description
Lyminster is a one-form entry primary with 207 children on roll. We are looking for an excellent IT Technician to provide IT maintenance and support across the school, occasionally including supporting teaching staff in the delivery of the curriculum and with the usage of IT in the classroom. We support all of our IT in-house and the successful candidate will be exposed to a wide range of systems and technologies. Requirements
a keen desire to work in a busy school environment good knowledge and understanding of working with networks and a variety of IT hardware and software the desire and ability to work well with adults and children, other technicians and 'lay-people' excellent communication skills a strong desire to keep up to date with latest developments ability to prioritize and work within a team and independently an eye for detail., Experience of day-to-day support of Could-based server systems, IT networks, hardware and software functions within a school or equivalent environment. Knowledge of Meraki, Intune & Azure, and managing users, applications and deployment. Knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint and 0365 Applications, Sophos, Senso Experience and knowledge of supporting Windows 11 onwards, IOS and OSX operating systems Further or higher education qualifications relevant to the field, underpinned by a minimum standard of GCSE (grade A - C). Practical knowledge of a range of IT software, hardware and other associated systems and able to translate these into effective working practice. Good technical knowledge and experience in supporting computer systems, Ipads, Androids and networks. Experience of managing website content Ability to tailor communication based on the audience. Understanding of LGFL/Adept/Wavenet configurations would be an advantage
