Job description
As a Network Engineer, you'll be part of a busy, versatile team responsible for delivering reliable IT support and solutions to our customers. The role involves a balance of office-based work and on-site visits to client locations., * Providing IT support to multiple clients across various sectors.
- Delivering a mix of remote and on-site technical support.
- Managing and completing IT projects from planning through to delivery.
- Adapting and developing your role based on your skills and the evolving needs of the team.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
- Working effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Proven experience in IT support.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (company van may be provided, depending on experience).
- Must live within approximately one hour's commute of our Buxton office.
Technical Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone with solid technical knowledge and a passion for problem-solving. Experience in the following areas is desirable:
- Customer communication via phone and email.
- Windows 10/11 desktop support, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office applications.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure Active Directory, and Intune.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN.
- Experience with VoIP systems.
- Knowledge of on-premises Windows Server technologies (Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy).
- Familiarity with Wi-Fi technologies (Ubiquiti preferred).
- Experience with NAS devices (Synology preferred).
- Firewall configuration and management (DrayTek and pfSense preferred).
- Endpoint security management (ESET preferred).
- Experience with Cyber Essentials is an advantage.
