Job description

As a Network Engineer, you'll be part of a busy, versatile team responsible for delivering reliable IT support and solutions to our customers. The role involves a balance of office-based work and on-site visits to client locations., * Providing IT support to multiple clients across various sectors.

  • Delivering a mix of remote and on-site technical support.
  • Managing and completing IT projects from planning through to delivery.
  • Adapting and developing your role based on your skills and the evolving needs of the team.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
  • Working effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Proven experience in IT support.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (company van may be provided, depending on experience).
  • Must live within approximately one hour's commute of our Buxton office.

Technical Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone with solid technical knowledge and a passion for problem-solving. Experience in the following areas is desirable:

  • Customer communication via phone and email.
  • Windows 10/11 desktop support, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure Active Directory, and Intune.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN.
  • Experience with VoIP systems.
  • Knowledge of on-premises Windows Server technologies (Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy).
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi technologies (Ubiquiti preferred).
  • Experience with NAS devices (Synology preferred).
  • Firewall configuration and management (DrayTek and pfSense preferred).
  • Endpoint security management (ESET preferred).
  • Experience with Cyber Essentials is an advantage.
