Job description
Join Scotland's Railway as we drive digital transformation to improve project and asset information management. Join a new team responsible for information management and implementing the Common Data Environment strategy, utilising Bentley ProjectWise and AssetWise. You'll play a key part in information requirements, production, management, and delivery to support Project Acceleration in a Controlled Environment (PACE), Asset Management Plans, Health & Safety Files, and ISO 19650 - making a real impact across the region., Your daily activities will include: -, * Identify project information 'customers' within Scotland's Railway, along with their information management, asset data, collaboration, and related information needs.

Develop and implement an Information Management Plan to direct information requirements, production, management, and delivery.

Establish and maintain regular interfaces between Projects, Programme, and other Network Rail stakeholders regarding the production, management, and delivery of project information and asset data to fulfil identified requirements.

Establish and manage a team.

Provide initial technical and non-technical advice to projects.

Lead and support the management, production, delivery, and governance of regional project information to ensure compliance with Network Rail standards.

Provide assurance on key information management processes.

Drive the Common Data Environment strategy and Information Management resources to support Projects and Programmes, including performance and non-compliance reporting.

Provide professional functional leadership for information management within Scotland's Railway.

Provide education, training, and support for information production, management, and delivery to internal and external stakeholders.

Highly proficient in Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Team management?, Experience with ISO 9001; ISO 19650 (BIM) is a plus.
Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Experience in managing a team.
Ability to Communicate effectively within teams and projects.
Skilled in change management, process rollout, and system embedding.
Knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps, PowerBI, CoPilot.
Essential

Detailed knowledge and experience of the Information Management Systems and industry standards relating to Information Management disciplines (such as Bentley eB and Projectwise, Sharepoint, CCMS, BIM, Asset Data (Ellipse) and Asset Information Specifications).

Thorough knowledge of railway infrastructure design, construction, operation and maintenance.

Strong evaluation, leadership and decision-making skills.

Experience of leading the establishment of project data standards, methods and procedures required to support the collaborative production of information.

Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team and Programme context.

Awareness of financial, procurement and commercial systems and processes.

Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent)

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers in a contractual environment.
Desirable

Academic qualifications and/or membership of a professional body relating to a recognised engineering discipline.

Working knowledge of national and industry standards relating to engineering data managements and production, namely BS 1192:2007 and PAS 1192-2 2013.

Working knowledge of engineering data management systems; preferably MicroStation.

Knowledge of Network Rail's Governance for Railway Investment Projects (GRIP) Policy, engineering contracts and procurement processes.

Ability to train, coach and mentor members of a project team.

Experience of working on multi-disciplinary projects, preferably rail infrastructure related.
Benefits & conditions
Salary: The salary is £46,701 rising to £55,411 per annum
