Job description

Scalers are proud to be partnered with a high-growth UK FinTech scale-up that's looking to bring on board a Database Reliability Engineer (Contract, 3-6 months) to support a critical migration project. The Project

You'll be leading a large-scale MongoDB migration between AWS/GCP environments. The role involves designing and deploying new instances, implementing robust backup/restore processes, and managing end-to-end data migration. Alongside MongoDB, you'll also work with Postgres and other database technologies, ensuring performance, security, and reliability in a cloud-native setting., This is a high-impact contract where you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of data systems during a period of growth and transformation.

Requirements

We're keen to speak with engineers who have hands-on experience with

  • MongoD
  • MongoDB related data migration (Either on-prem to cloud or cloud to PASS like Mongo Atlas)
  • PaaS database services GCP/AWS/Azure
  • GitOps (Gitlab/ArgoCD)
  • Experience running databases in public cloud and ideally with database PaaS services
