Job description
As a Platform Engineer in the Container Platform Team, you'll play a key role in developing, improving, and supporting secure, scalable, and automated container platform services - primarily RedHat OpenShift on AWS. The platform is well-established, and you'll help ensure it continues to evolve in line with business needs and is consumed in a "Platform as a Product" model. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering and continually improving our OpenShift platforms on AWS
- Ensuring platform performance, availability, security, and capacity meet business needs.
- Driving automation of platform operations and infrastructure delivery (IaC).
- Supporting the migration and onboarding of services to the container platform.
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation of platform configuration and processes.
- Contributing to roadmap planning and prioritisation.
- Supporting business continuity through resilient platform design.
Requirements

Minimum criteria:
- 3+ years in platform engineering or similar roles.
- 2+ years designing, building, configuring, and operating container platforms (OpenShift or Kubernetes).
- Solid experience with public cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
- Strong Linux knowledge, scripting skills, and significant experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile development practices.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture, networking, and distributed systems.
- Awareness of governance, compliance, and security best practices.
