Job description

  • Install, configure, and commission AV, IT, and EPOS systems on client sites.
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on hardware, cabling, and networked systems.
  • Conduct site surveys and prepare installation documentation, reports, and handover packs.
  • Ensure system integration between AV, IT, and EPOS components, including connectivity and network setup.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support for clients post-installation.
  • Manage spare parts, tools, and equipment effectively to ensure operational readiness.
  • Work closely with project managers, service coordinators, and clients to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards, company policies, and client-specific site protocols.
  • Participate in on-call rotations or out-of-hours support when required.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have a valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme Card, Construction Skills Certification Scheme certification?, Do you have experience in TCP/IP?, We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer with experience in Audio-Visual (AV), IT, and EPOS installation and maintenance. The ideal candidate will provide on-site technical support, system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting services for a wide range of clients in retail, hospitality, and corporate environments.

This role is hands-on and customer-facing, requiring a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication., * Proven experience in field service engineering, ideally in AV, IT, or EPOS environments.

  • Strong working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, switches, routers, VLANs).
  • Hands-on experience with AV systems (displays, audio systems, control interfaces).
  • Familiarity with EPOS hardware (terminals, printers, peripherals) and software integration.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and network diagrams.
  • Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively., * CompTIA A+ / Network+ or equivalent.
  • AVIXA CTS certification or similar.
  • Experience with structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fibre).
  • Knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and POS software platforms.
  • CSCS / ECS Card and IPAF or PASMA certification.
