Job description

A high-achieving secondary school in Southwark seeks a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join its dynamic IT department. We offer a supportive and collaborative working environment, where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and ongoing development of our school's IT infrastructure., In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of technical tasks, including:

  • Hardware and Software Support: Installation, configuration, and maintenance of a range of IT equipment, including computers, laptops, tablets, printers, and network devices. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues faced by staff and students.
  • Network Management: Maintaining the school's network infrastructure, ensuring its efficiency, security, and uptime. Implementing network security measures and monitoring network activity.
  • User Support: Providing technical support to staff and students, responding to their queries and resolving IT-related problems. Maintaining user accounts and ensuring access to authorized applications and resources.
  • Software Management: Installing, configuring, and maintaining a variety of educational software programs used within the school environment. Assisting staff with integrating technology effectively into their teaching practices.
  • Maintaining IT Policies: Ensuring adherence to the school's IT policies and procedures. Promoting responsible and safe use of technology by staff and students.

Requirements

  • Qualified IT Technician with a minimum of [mention minimum experience, e.g., 2 years'] experience in a similar role.
