Job description

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer looking for a hands-on role where you can make a real impact across a growing manufacturing business?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company in Driffield during an exciting period of growth.

You'll play a key role in maintaining and developing the IT infrastructure that underpins all business operations, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and ready for the future.

Some of the Key Infrastructure Engineer responsibilities are:

  • Oversee and continuously improve all IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud systems.
  • Manage Windows and Nix servers, covering setup, configuration, maintenance, and capacity planning.
  • Oversee email and messaging systems and ensure robust backup and recovery environments.
  • Maintain and optimise Oracle SQL databases, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
  • Support applications management, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Ensure IT systems and security measures remain aligned with current threats.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning and automation of infrastructure tasks.
  • Provide 3rd line support for key business systems and services.

Requirements

You must be technically strong, proactive, and able to balance day-to-day management with long-term planning. We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of networking, cloud infrastructure, storage, virtualisation, database technologies, and the Microsoft 365 suite. You'll have a real passion for improving systems and driving efficiency.
