We have an opportunity for a Sr. Test Automation Engineer to develop and manage test automation frameworks for a variety of applications (ETL, Data ingestions, Cloud platform, DBs) within our Data tribe.
You will work within the Data tribe comprised of Software Engineers, Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers and Data Scientists whose primary focus is to design and develop innovative technology solutions for a variety of internal stakeholders.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Unit testing?, We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious individual, who can think creatively to solve problems and meet user requirements. You must have a keen interest in testing and quality assurance, applying shift-left, test-first principles with hands on experience of automating testing, designing, and implementing testing automation frameworks.
As we work within the Scaled Agile framework, we are looking for someone who can work both independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced and changing environment. This requires an individual who can deliver to agreed timelines, communicating effectively, and thinking innovatively.
Experience of working in an integrated team, refining and prioritising a backlog and delivering in an Agile methodology is a must.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Recent 5+ years of hands-on experience in Test Automation framework using Python and BDD preferably Behave or Cucumber tools.
- Proficient in Python fundamentals, data structure, file handing, error handling, logging, and debugging skills, Pandas, DBs, API Requests etc.
- Hands-on experience in usage of GCP SDKs & APIs.Recent 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Ingestion/ETL testing.
- Understanding around databases like SQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle, GCP(Big Query, Bigtable etc.)
- Understanding around schema-based ingestions and schema contracts/definition tools like Swagger or similar.
- Hands-on experience in data reconciliation and transformation validations during ETL/Data ingestions within GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / Azure.
- Experience working in cloud-based CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
- Experience of working in cloud-based git repositories.
- Experience in Non-Functional testing including performance, Security with ETL/Data exposure and tool like JMeter, SonarQube, JFrog or similar.
- Experience with API or data mocks/stubs using tools like Wiremock or similar.
- Experience and understanding Agile model delivery and align to agile ceremonies.
- Experience in any Test management tool, preferably Jira & zephyr.
- Experience in Fintech industries (e.g., Insurance, Finance or similar).
Desirable Technical Skills and Experience

Experience in Terraform deployments.
