Aspen, a renowned name in the international insurance sector, is seeking an Insurance Technical Analyst to join their London-based team. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a supportive and knowledgeable organisation that places a strong emphasis on collaboration, professional growth, and delivering exceptional service. As an Insurance Technical Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the International Underwriting Services (IUS) division, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of risk and exposure recording, premium accounting, and management information reporting. Aspen's commitment to nurturing talent, fostering open communication, and upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance makes this position ideal for someone who thrives in a communal and inclusive environment. If you are looking for a role where your attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and analytical abilities will be valued and developed, Aspen offers the perfect platform for your next career step.

  • Join Aspen's highly respected International Underwriting Services team in London, where you will contribute directly to the success of underwriting operations through meticulous data management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Benefit from Aspen's culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and supportive leadership that encourages both personal and professional development within a collaborative team setting.
  • Enjoy working in an environment that values open communication, flexibility in approach, and a genuine commitment to regulatory excellence and customer satisfaction.

What you'll do:

As an Insurance Technical Analyst at Aspen, you will immerse yourself in a variety of tasks that underpin the smooth operation of international underwriting services. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with both onshore and offshore teams to ensure that risk data is accurately recorded, insurance premiums are accounted for efficiently, and management information is delivered promptly to support business decisions. You will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with industry regulations while also driving improvements in internal processes. By building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, you will help resolve queries swiftly and provide valuable insights through detailed reporting. Your proactive approach will see you contributing ideas during team meetings, supporting colleagues' development, and ensuring that all documentation meets rigorous standards. This role offers you the chance to make a tangible impact on Aspen's operational effectiveness while growing your expertise within a supportive network.

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of operational plans by ensuring all delivery considerations are included for effective execution within the IUS team.
  • Determine your own work priorities in alignment with agreed objectives to support both personal achievement and overall team success.
  • Assist in developing and refining insurance processes and systems to ensure efficient management of records while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Maintain electronic files logically and accessibly, ensuring all underwriting issues are clearly documented at all times for transparency and audit readiness.
  • Provide strong guidance to offshore teams to ensure underwriter expectations are met consistently across all service areas.
  • Support the collection, review, consolidation, and analysis of contractual risk information as part of Aspen's insurance segment procedures.
  • Prepare accurate management information reports for key stakeholders including exception reports, performance summaries, and regulatory-focused documentation.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly Board and Audit Committee reports by providing timely analysis of debtors and exposure to counterparty security.
  • Build robust relationships with key stakeholders by delivering effective services, resolving queries as a subject matter expert, and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Act as a point of reference for offshore colleagues by sharing best practices, supporting knowledge transfer initiatives, and contributing positively to team meetings.
