Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Test Development Engineer to contribute to the design, integration and validation of test system hardware solutions, joining our highly skilled and dynamic Test Equipment Design Team. The Test Development Engineer will support the design process at all stages, including contribution to design reviews, answering manufacturing queries, performing risk deduction activities, ties, assisting with integration and validation activities, and reporting to the Technical Lead or Equipment Project Manager. The Test Development Engineer will have the opportunity to lead on packages of work and manage deliveries that contribute to the overall solution. This role operates in an international environment, presenting a fantastic opportunity to broaden your expertise and play a crucial role in the delivery of the client's products.

Requirements

  • Skilled Hardware Design Engineers with proven experience to support the design, integration and validation of test system hardware solutions.
  • Knowledge of test needs and techniques in support of product life cycle development.
  • A good level of understanding with some experience of Design Proving and performance testing during development.
  • A good level of understanding with some experience of Environmental and EMC testing during qualification.
  • Strong document writing skills associated with Test Equipment hardware design needs.

Desirable Experience;

  • Experience in the Defence or safety-regulated environment would be advantageous
  • Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.
  • Experience of managing small packages of work is highly desirable
