Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have a valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme Card, Construction Skills Certification Scheme certification?, Do you have experience in macOS?, We are a small business to business IT Support company that is expanding and are looking for an IT Support / Installation engineer for our busy team with at least 3 years business to business IT Support Experience working for an MSP / IT Support business.
If you do not have experience supporting systems in a BUSINESS to BUSINESS role please do not apply as you will not be considered.
The successful candidate will have a broad fundamental knowledge of general IT systems and networking and experience of installing equipment at client sites and providing high levels of customer engagement and customer service. They will be able to explain IT in laymans terms.
Knowledge must include:
- PC / Mac / laptop installation, diagnostics and fault finding.
- Networking: Wireless, Wired, Mesh Systems, Routers, Firewalls
- Backup Solutions (Physical & SaaS)
- Basic network cabling (Termination of RJ45 / cabling / Terminating Patch Rails)
- Installation of rack mounted systems (Switches, Routers, UPS, Firewalls, etc)
- Remote support of Microsoft 365, Windows 10, Windows 11, MAC OS
- Understanding of cyber security and associated products.
- Use of hand tools
Experience with the following are advantageous but not required;
- Watchguard
- Ubiquiti
- Netgear
- Cisco
- ESET
- CSCS or ECS Card
- Use of hand tools / power tools
- Installation of Antenna mounting poles (K & T Brackets)
The successful candidate will have excellent customer communication and service skills, be able to work alone or as part of a close knit team and have an outgoing personality and excellent time management and planning skills.
