Job description
I'm currently looking for an experienced Senior Network / Network Services Manager to join a global organisation on a 4-6 month contract, supporting a major SD-WAN and network modernisation initiative.
Needing someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has led complex network transformation projects.
What you'll do:
- Own day-to-day network operations (LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, firewall, wireless).
- Lead and mentor the network team, providing guidance during major incidents.
- Drive the SD-WAN migration and LAN modernisation project, ensuring operational readiness.
- Manage vendors and third-party MSPs, holding them to SLAs and performance requirements.
- Oversee patching, upgrades, and ensure best practice network security standards.
- Work closely with IT leadership to prioritise technical debt and shape future network strategy.
Requirements
- Strong background in global enterprise networking - WAN/LAN, MPLS, VPN, QoS.
- Demonstrable experience leading SD-WAN rollout / migration projects (HPE SD-WAN exposure desirable).
- Expertise across Cisco switching/routing (Nexus 3K/9K, BGP/OSPF/EIGRP), Palo Alto / Fortinet firewalls, and Aruba wireless.
- Vendor and stakeholder management experience, able to translate technical issues into business language.
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing heavy operational workloads.
