Job description

Vertec Group is recruiting for a Document Controller on a permanent basis for our long-standing client - a leading specialist Mechanical and Electrical service provider, delivering projects directly for clients and Tier 1 main contractors across London and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to play a key role in supporting project delivery within Heathrow Airport. This position will be based primarily on projects located airside and therefore requires successful applicants to obtain a full airside pass, which will be processed by our client., * Manage and maintain project documentation in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.

  • Ensure that all project documents are correctly numbered, controlled, and distributed.
  • Support project teams with document submittals, transmittals, and version control.
  • Maintain up-to-date registers of drawings, specifications, RFIs, and technical documents.
  • Liaise with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure timely submission and approval of documentation.
  • Implement document control processes to ensure compliance with quality management systems.
  • Coordinate the archiving and retrieval of project documentation for completed works.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for audits and compliance reviews.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Document management systems?, * Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction, engineering, or M&E industry.

  • Familiarity with document management systems (e.g. Viewpoint, Aconex, Asite, or similar).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience working within an airport environment is highly advantageous, though not essential., * Document management systems: 3 years (preferred)
