Solutions Architect

We're supporting a major UK-wide transformation programme modernising access control and digital infrastructure across government estates - introducing new cloud-based, secure, and scalable systems that enable interoperability across departments., * Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet strategic and operational objectives.
• Evaluate and optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with relevant government and cloud security standards.
• Lead technical architecture for complex migrations and integrations.
• Produce and maintain architectural documentation and technical roadmaps.
• Stay ahead of emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

• Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong grasp of architecture principles, automation tools, containerisation, and DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or scripting languages.
• Deep understanding of security and compliance frameworks in complex environments.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience in Access Control Systems or identity/security domains.
• Relevant degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar.

Certifications

• Cloud certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
