Job description
- Travel to client sites to install, configure, and support networking equipment, including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, computers, and display screens.
- Carry out structured cabling work, including running, terminating, and testing network cables (Cat5e, Cat6, fibre, etc.).
- Install and set up end-user devices (PCs, laptops, printers, screens) and peripherals.
- Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VLAN, WiFi, DHCP, DNS).
- Install and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, MFA, SSO).
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues on-site.
- Provide basic user training and handover at client sites.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, equipment installed, and site documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety and data security standards.
- Liaise with internal teams and third-party vendors as required.
- Participate in an on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support as needed.

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have a valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme Card, Construction Skills Certification Scheme certification?, Do you have experience in Virtualization?, We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is a field-based role, travelling to client sites to install, configure, and support a wide range of networking and IT equipment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, have strong customer service skills, and possess a solid understanding of networking, cabling, and Microsoft 365 environments., * Proven experience in a field-based IT support or engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of networking hardware (firewalls, switches, access points) and protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, WiFi).
- Experience with structured cabling installation and testing.
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and support.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (including occasional overnight stays).
Desirable Qualifications
- CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, or similar IT certifications.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-100/MD-101) or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware).
- Experience working for an MSP or in a multi-client environment.
