Job description

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage and maintain all project documentation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company and contractual standards.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the electronic Document Management System (EDMS), ensuring effective document control and traceability.
  • Maintain and update project registers including correspondence, drawings, transmittals, and data room records.
  • Support the Project Manager with preparation, organisation, and distribution of key project documentation, reports, and communications.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely document submissions and reviews.
  • Assist in maintaining the Project Risk Register, identifying key risks and supporting the development of mitigation measures.
  • Provide administrative support including meeting preparation, minute taking, action tracking, and general project coordination tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grade C / Level 4 or above), including Maths and English.
  • Proven experience in document control or project administration, ideally within an engineering, energy, or construction environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project, with practical experience using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
  • Knowledge of Data Protection legislation and best practices in document handling and storage.
  • ONC / HNC in a relevant field (desirable).

  • Proactive and results-driven, able to take initiative while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborative communicator, able to build strong relationships across teams and with external stakeholders.
