Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Manager to join a forward-thinking, technology-led financial services organisation. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, regulated environment and enjoys leading teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions.

What You'll Do

You'll lead the planning, build, and lifecycle management of cloud infrastructure, ensuring systems are robust, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Your work will span across Azure administration, infrastructure design, and technical leadership - while mentoring a talented team and driving operational excellence., * Oversee deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Azure cloud services.

  • Manage Azure tenancy, security infrastructure, and DR strategies.
  • Support migration of legacy systems to cloud platforms.
  • Maintain SQL database infrastructure (on-prem and cloud).
  • Oversee storage lifecycle management, including SharePoint, OneDrive, and blob storage.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing infrastructure team through clear objectives and coaching.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architecture and Service Desk teams to ensure best practice and service continuity.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, capacity planning, and monitoring systems.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in Azure administration and Microsoft 365 Enterprise.
  • Experience managing infrastructure in a regulated environment.
  • Proven background in people management and technical leadership.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, backup, and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with SQL, VDI platforms (e.g., AVD, VMware), and Veeam.
  • Desirable: knowledge of Terraform, Azure DevOps, or Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
