Job description
I'm looking for a Network Engineer to join my clients team, who are a well known Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider. You will be managing and maintaining wired and wireless private mobile networks. Your focus will be on providing technical support, resolving incidents, configuring equipment, and ensuring SLA and network availability targets are met., * Support and troubleshoot deployed networks with remote teams and field engineers.
- Configure and maintain wireless controllers, switches, and routers.
- Respond to monitoring alerts, escalate issues, and manage 3rd line incidents.
- Keep site records, processes, and CMDB documentation accurate and up to date.
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams, clients, and outsourced service providers.
- Carry out on-site testing and replacement of core network equipment when required.
Requirements
Vendors, Cisco, Juniper, Configuration Management, Wireless, Servicenow, Ruckus, Meraki, Communication Skills, Critical Infrastructure, Nexus, * Experience in mobile networks/IT technical support (4G, 5G, wireless).
- Knowledge of BBU controllers, Core Network Switching, and vendors including Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, Nexus, Juniper, and Ubiquiti UniFi.
- Strong understanding of configuration management and ITIL practices.
- Proficiency with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy) and CMDB systems.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- CCNA and ITIL Foundation certifications (UK driving licence beneficial). This role is ideal if you enjoy problem-solving, working with cutting-edge mobile networks, and making sure critical infrastructure runs smoothly.
