My client is a global leader in critical communications with a start-up culture and focus on engineering excellence. They deliver mission-critical wireless solutions and are seeking an experienced Program Manager to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across complex projects., This role leads the end-to-end delivery of a mission-critical service across the UK and Europe. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, mitigate risks, and ensure delivery meets the highest standards of performance and reliability. Acting as the central point of contact between internal teams, customers, and partners, you'll maintain transparent communication and "no surprises" delivery., * Lead full programme lifecycle from planning and development to deployment and delivery.
- Drive schedules and ensure milestones, quality, and performance standards are met.
- Maintain rigorous quality assurance suitable for mission-critical systems.
- Communicate proactively with customers and partners to manage expectations and scope.
- Identify and mitigate risks early, managing dependencies and critical paths effectively.
- Coordinate across engineering, QA, operations, and partner teams to align timelines.
- Oversee governance and reporting, ensuring accountability and consistency across programmes.
- Promote continuous improvement in project management processes and tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience delivering complex, high-stakes technical or engineering projects.
- Proven record managing uptime, security, and performance-critical programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including with government or enterprise clients.
- Skilled in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
- Excellent written, verbal, and organisational abilities., * Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (PMP or PRINCE2 preferred).
- Experience in mission-critical or high-availability environments.
- Understanding of systems engineering, software lifecycles, or infrastructure deployment., Delivery-focused, accountable, and adaptable. Strong problem solver and decision-maker with clear communication and stakeholder management skills., * Knowledge of TETRA, 4G/5G, PMR, or emergency service communications.
- Experience with government programmes (Home Office, MOD, etc.).
- Ability to travel occasionally for stakeholder engagement.
