Job description

Our colleagues use a variety of different technologies such as laptops, mobile phones and tablets and software applications including Microsoft and internal business systems.

As one of our 1st Line Service Desk Technicians, you will be the first point of ICT contact for our colleagues who, using our online ticket system, will come to you with a wide range of requests. You will respond to these by telephone, in person or via the service desk software.

No two days will be the same. One moment you may be setting up a new user, the next configuring a range of new devices, then helping a colleague with an issue on their laptop.

If you are enthusiastic about technology and keen to learn, then this is the role for you!

Requirements

You will have some knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office 365 products, alongside a basic technical knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals.

You will also be great at customer service, both face to face and telephone with the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical colleagues.

As you will need to work at both our offices in Portishead and Weston-Super-Mare, a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle or another suitable transport method is required.
