Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Software Tec Lab are a growing software development consultancy based in Glasgow. We are seeking a self-motivated, software development and Cloud/IT consultant to help lead innovative solutions for our clients. This is a high-profile, hands-on consultancy role, with opportunity for you to benefit from lots of variety, and be rewarded for successful development projects. In the role you will be working closely with our team and with clients to deliver great applications and cloud solutions.

We are looking for all-rounders with both strong software development and DevOps/IT experience, but exceptional skills in either will also be considered.

Priority Technical skills:

DevOps/IT Consultant Skillset

Multi-year experience of supporting IT systems;
Cloud/Virtualization engineering;
Azure resource management
Windows/Linux/VMWare Server experience (Config Management, deployment);
Intune - Microsoft Endpoint configuration
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD;
Languages: PowerShell, Python, Terraform

Full-Stack Software Development consultant skillset

Multi-year experience of professional hands-on coding for front-end and full stack developments;
A keen eye for translating design input into user applications and backend services;
Development with JavaScript frameworks;
Strong UI/application development experience for web/mobile Apps (e.g. React);
Cloud platform development using Azure/AWS and databases;
Expertise with Git revision control;
Full lifecycle software development.

The following desirable skills are a plus for the candidate

Degree qualification in Computing, IT, Software or equivalent;
Experience across both Software Development and DevOps/IT
Knowledge of Docker/Containerisation, Security, Networking
Proficiency in scripting (e.g. Python/PowerShell);
Object-oriented software skills (e.g. Java, C++, C# development)
Someone who leads and is committed to ensuring quality is built in.
Has a true interest in cutting edge technology, and understanding of IT responsibilities.
