Job description

  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL(BigQuery) & Alteryx focusing on subscriber revenue, trading analytics, and business KPI's.
  • Develop and optimise ETL processes to ingest, clean, and transform large volumes of structured and semi-structured data from both internal and external sources.
  • Design, implement, and manage data models and marts that power reporting, KPI tracking, and analytics use cases, ensuring robustness, traceability, and high performance.
  • Create dynamic, interactive dashboards and visualisations in Tableau to surface actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Automate recurring data workflows and reporting processes using Alteryx and SQL to improve data accessibility, reduce manual effort, and increase analytical throughput.
  • Collaborate with the central Sky data engineering team to align on transformation logic, schema design, and infrastructure changes impacting downstream analytics.
  • Collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources into reliable datasets for reporting.
  • Use AI-enhanced tools and methods (e.g., predictive analysis, natural language query, anomaly detection) to improve BI reporting.
  • Lead Agile delivery routines (daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, retrospectives) within cross-functional teams to prioritise, track, and execute analytics initiatives.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of KPI reporting, proactively identifying and resolving data issues and ensuring high confidence in analytics outputs across the business.
  • Function as a technical liaison and advisor to stakeholders, translating business questions into data queries and delivering clear, data-backed recommendations.
  • Establish and promote data governance standards, including version control, documentation, lineage tracking, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards and reports (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) that deliver actionable insights.
  • Monitor data quality and ensure consistency across reporting systems.
  • Stay informed on the latest BI and AI trends to suggest improvements to current processes

Requirements

Do you have experience in Tableau?, * Expert-level SQL skills with experience in building complex queries, scalable data models, and ETL pipelines, preferably within Google BigQuery or other cloud-based data warehouses.

  • Hands-on proficiency with Alteryx for data wrangling, transformation, and automation of complex workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience working with cloud platforms (especially GCP) for data engineering and analytics deployment.
  • Strong ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions, with a focus on revenue analysis, KPI measurement, and performance optimisation.
  • Advanced expertise in Tableau (or similar BI tools) to design interactive dashboards, self-serve reporting solutions, and visual story telling that drives decisions at all levels.
  • Proven experience managing stakeholder expectations across Finance, Trading, and Commercial teams - with the ability to challenge assumptions and guide data-driven outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including facilitation of stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog prioritisation within analytics squads.
  • Familiarity with data governance best practices, including documentation, version control, and quality assurance.
  • A collaborative approach to team leadership, including mentoring junior analysts, sharing best practices, and contributing to a culture of continuous learning
