I'm working with a well-established organisation who are investing heavily in their IT infrastructure and looking for an Infrastructure Specialist to join their team. It's a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys a mix of project and BAU work, with plenty of autonomy and visibility across the business.
You'd be joining a close-knit IT function that values collaboration and proactive thinking - they're looking for someone who can spot opportunities to improve systems, not just maintain them.
The Role
You'll be responsible for keeping the infrastructure running smoothly across multiple sites, with a focus on:
- Managing a hybrid Active Directory / Azure AD environment, ensuring sync, access, and security policies are in check.
- Supporting and configuring enterprise Wi-Fi networks (Meraki, Unifi or similar) - VLANs, device onboarding, authentication.
- Providing technical support for Azure Virtual Desktop or Citrix environments, managing thin clients and user performance.
- Owning routine systems administration - patching, updates, monitoring, and documentation.
- Working closely with key stakeholders across the business to deliver a reliable, responsive service.
Requirements
- Strong background in infrastructure or systems administration, ideally across multi-site environments.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and group policy management.
- Understanding of Meraki / Unifi or similar enterprise networking tools.
- Exposure to virtual desktop environments such as Azure Virtual Desktop or Citrix.
