IT Networking / Security Engineer

Working on-site inBallymena, you will play a key part in supporting the company's IT operations, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of its network and systems. This Networking/Security Engineer will be involved in day-to-day management of the infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, implementing configuration changes, and contributing to wider security and infrastructure enhancements., * Provide hands-on support for LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewall infrastructure.

• Assist with the management of SD-WAN, switches, routers, Wi-Fi systems, and firewalls.
• Carry out configuration changes, upgrades, and ensure accurate documentation of systems.
• Support cloud, network, and security improvement projects, including Wi-Fi, Firewall, Endpoint Security, and Printing.
• Help strengthen the company's cybersecurity posture, including risk mitigation and vulnerability remediation.

• You will have extensive Infrastructure Management experience, including experience supporting, designing, and managing IT infrastructure across servers, networks, storage, and cloud services
• You will bring hands-on cybersecurity experience, including experience implementing security measures, performing assessments, and handling security incidents.
• This role also requires knowledge of incident response and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Proven background in network administration and infrastructure support.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and core network technologies.
• Experience working with firewalls is essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, on-prem Active Directory, and Group Policies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, patching, and vulnerability management.
• This role requires a demonstrable ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
