Job description
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Administrator to join our Ipswich team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of operations, with a genuine and strong technical aptitude for hardware and software support, network management, cybersecurity, data management, and troubleshooting.
Beyond the day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting, we're seeking someone with a willingness to research, plan and present ideas to help the company progress, and help refine our IT procedures to keep us up to date and compliant.
IT Support Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Troubleshooting: Identify the root causes of problems and taking swift action to resolve them. Whether it's addressing hardware malfunctions, software glitches, or network disruptions, your expertise in troubleshooting and liaising with an array of suppliers will minimise downtime, ensuring that our team can work productively.
Network Management: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimise network resources to ensure a reliable and efficient digital workspace for our entire organisation, in Ipswich, London, and Edinburgh.
Data Management: Oversee data backups, ensuring that critical information is safeguarded against loss or corruption. Additionally, you'll be responsible for maintaining data integrity, ensuring that our data remains accurate, accessible, and protected.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical support?, * Experience with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Exchange/Outlook, Shared Mailboxes, Office etc.)
- Strong general computer troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (Entra ID, etc.), and interest in becoming certified (provided by company)
- Basic server knowledge, including Active Directory
- Minimum 1 year experience in IT Support
- Willingness to dive deep and learn about new hardware and software as needed
- General networking skills, including configuring, monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting
Desirable:
- Experience with AWS (Workmail, Route53, EC2, etc.)
- Good understanding of DNS, * Technical support: 1 year (required)
