Job description

The Chief Technology Officer will join the Executive Leadership Team, reporting to the CEO. The CTO will own the company's technology vision and execution, leading engineering, product delivery, platform infrastructure, and cybersecurity functions. The role requires a strategic leader with hands-on technical credibility who can scale engineering capabilities, innovate the platform, and enable commercial growth., * Define and lead the global technology strategy aligned to the business's payments and fintech growth objectives.

  • Oversee all aspects of product engineering, platform development, architecture, and infrastructure (cloud-first environment).
  • Build, lead, and scale international engineering teams with a focus on agility, innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Drive modern software development practices, DevOps, automation, and security-first principles.
  • Partner with Chief Product Officer to ensure seamless product delivery and customer-centric innovation.
  • Develop scalable systems capable of supporting high transaction volumes in payments and financial services.
  • Maintain responsibility for cybersecurity, compliance, and resilience across platforms.
  • Act as a key voice at board level, ensuring technology decisions enable long-term growth, scalability, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Proven CTO / VP Engineering / Technology Director experience within fintech, payments, SaaS or high-scale B2B technology businesses.
  • Strong background in cloud-native architecture, APIs, data platforms, and secure payments infrastructure.
  • Track record of scaling engineering functions internationally, ideally across Europe and North America.
  • Deep understanding of compliance and regulatory environments in fintech/payments.
  • Hands-on technical credibility, with the ability to inspire engineers and gain board-level confidence.
  • Strong commercial mindset, able to link technology decisions directly to customer outcomes and growth.
  • Collaborative and innovative leader who thrives in fast-growth, entrepreneurial environments.
