Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Full Stack Developer to join our Central MIS team based at Park Lane Campus. Working alongside our existing developer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining websites and SQL databases. A major focus of the role will be building a new API to transform our enrolment website, helping to create a smoother, more efficient experience for learners and staff alike. What You Will Do
- Develop web solutions within the MIS team that meet the current and future needs of Luminate Education Group.
- Support the design, development, and improvement of new and existing web applications.
- Regularly review and optimise web applications, APIs (SOAP/REST), and databases to improve performance, security, accessibility, and the overall user experience.
- Maintain and enhance SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) databases, including queries, stored procedures, and scheduled tasks across multiple servers.
- Use Azure DevOps for collaborative project management - including documentation, technical specifications, and change control - ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure web applications are reliable, secure, GDPR compliant, and maintained with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with ITSS departments to review and improve database and server architecture, and contribute to the design of new systems to support future business needs.
Requirements
Do you have experience in jQuery?, * Strong experience in developing web applications using ASP.NET, C#, and the .NET Framework.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases.
- Understanding of web security principles and best practices.
- Experience creating SOAP or REST APIs using ASP.NET / C#.
- Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) and Agile / DevOps ways of working.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand user needs and work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
