Job description
- Coordinate and manage an effective project document management system within the electronic document management system (Business Collaborator) in line with quality management system processes.
- Controlling all technical and contractual documentation produced throughout the lifecycle of the project, from all interested parties.
- Maintain knowledge of the processes necessary for timely and appropriate document submissions.
- Manage the integration of all project documentation through approved workflows
- Carry out Quality Control and Quality Assurance checks of documents and the distribution information and metadata.
- Monitor the process of interactive issuing and subsequent commenting/review of technical information.
- Manage the transition of technical data from design to construction, through to handover status. Ensure traceability and retrievability throughout the document control process.
Requirements

Experience of information/document management in Major Civil Engineering projects.

Knowledge and experience of working to UK and international standards and codes of practice for information management and Document Control.

Knowledge of Electronic Information and Electronic Document Control Systems.

Practical experience of information management or ISO 9001 Certification.

General knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Experience or extensive knowledge of working within quality management systems, processes and procedures.

Full working knowledge of databases.

Commercial awareness and an understanding of engineering and construction contracts.

Advanced information technology skills.
-
Excellent organisational skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work to tight deadlines and under minimum supervision.

Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience of managing a team.

At least 5 years' experience or extensive knowledge of working within systems and procedures.

About Balfour Beatty VINCI
Balfour Beatty VINCI is a long-established joint venture between two powerhouses for the delivery of critical infrastructure across rail, transport and other iconic projects in the UK and beyond. We started working together over 30 years ago to deliver the Channel Tunnel, as members of the TransManche Link consortium. In the Midlands, it is Balfour Beatty VINCI's role to design and build the route, ready for tracks and signalling to be installed. Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and then on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
