On Prem Cloud Storage Engineer

We are seeking an On-Prem Cloud Storage Engineer to join a well-established Infrastructure Platform team. This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level engineer with experience in storage and virtualization who's eager to deepen their expertise in hybrid cloud environments. You'll be responsible for supporting production storage systems, resolving incidents, and ensuring smooth operations across both on-prem and cloud-based environments. The position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within a complex enterprise infrastructure landscape., + Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents independently, escalating complex issues where necessary.

• Execute technical tasks such as patching, storage allocation, configuration of backups, and script maintenance.

• Maintain accurate technical documentation to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing.

• Prioritize and deliver tasks according to business impact and service-level expectations.

• Hybrid work pattern with occasional onsite presence for collaboration and planning sessions.

• Installation and configuration of Flash Storage systems.

• Experience with data replication and clustered file systems.

• Storage virtualization management and SAN fabric maintenance.

• Proficiency with Linux command-line operations.

• Exposure to cluster management and encryption key management systems.

• Use of storage monitoring, automation, and analytics tools. Desirable Skills:

• Experience with enterprise storage platforms (e.g., IBM Flash, Pure Storage, HPE Nimble, Dell PowerStore, NetApp AFF).

• Understanding of software-defined storage or clustered file systems (e.g., IBM Spectrum Scale, Red Hat Ceph, VMware vSAN, Nutanix).

• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS and hybrid infrastructure concepts.

• Understanding of VMware products (vSphere, vRealize) and virtualization architecture.

• Experience with Cisco UCS or HPE infrastructure.

• Exposure to Agile delivery environments., + Background in storage or virtualization engineering with an eagerness to learn new technologies.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.

• Solid understanding of Linux systems and enterprise storage principles.
