Data Engineer

• Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Business Intelligence or another programming/highly numerate subject
• A genuine interest in numbers and information
• Coding experience, with a good understanding of programming languages like Python, R or SQL and capable of writing code
• Confident communication skills with the ability to break down complex concepts in a clear and engaging way
• A keen interest in new and emerging technologies

You'll be able to tell us on your application which role you prefer. We champion hybrid working at Aviva (typically three days in the office and two days from home), so you'll need to live within commuting distance of the office where your chosen role is based. You'll get the benefit of spending time with colleagues in real life as well as gaining more work-life balance. Not all role types are available in every location, so when you apply let us know which roles and which locations you prefer. Data Science & Advanced Analytics (Bristol): This is where data meets innovation. You'll use Python, R, and machine learning to build models that help us understand customer behaviour, predict trends, and personalise experiences. From day one, you'll be solving real problems and collaborating across teams to drive smarter decisions.
