Requirements

Do you have experience in Spark?, Are you excited by data and decisions? Are you a natural problem solver? If so, our Data Graduate pathway could be perfect for you!, * A degree in one of the following subjects: (or be on track to graduate by the end of Summer 2026)

  • Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Business Intelligence or another programming/highly numerate subject
  • A genuine interest in numbers and information
  • Coding experience, with a good understanding of programming languages like Python, R or SQL and capable of writing code
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to break down complex concepts in a clear and engaging way
  • A keen interest in new and emerging technologies

You'll be able to tell us on your application which role you prefer. We champion hybrid working at Aviva (typically three days in the office and two days from home), so you'll need to live within commuting distance of the office where your chosen role is based. You'll get the benefit of spending time with colleagues in real life as well as gaining more work-life balance. Data Science & Advanced Analytics (Bristol): This is where data meets innovation. You'll use Python, R, and machine learning to build models that help us understand customer behaviour, predict trends, and personalise experiences. From day one, you'll be solving real problems and collaborating across teams to drive smarter decisions. If you're curious about AI and excited to use data to make a real impact, this is your chance to shape the future of insurance. Data Insights & Business Intelligence (Norwich, London, Perth): If you love making sense of data and helping others do the same, this is your space. You'll use tools like Power BI and Qlik to turn raw data into clear, actionable insights that shape strategy and decision-making. You'll work with teams across the business, challenge the status quo, and explore opportunities to apply AI and automation - making a real difference in how we serve customers and run our business., Data Engineering (Bristol): Behind every great insight is a solid data foundation. You'll design and build the systems that collect, store, and process our data - using Python, Spark, and other modern tools. It's hands-on, collaborative, and full of opportunities to innovate.
